PURE FAMILY FUN IN PEE DEE
In the Pee Dee Region, pint-sized thrills are easy to come by—and parents will love every squeal of joy. On race weekends at Darlington Raceway, the rumble of engines thrills NASCAR fans of all ages (bring ear protection for younger kids). Look out for legends so the little ones can get autographs! Kids under 12 get in free at Dillon Motor Speedway, where you all can get a closer look at grassroots stock-car racing that’s sure to spark wide-eyed wonder in future drivers.
the heat of summer, cool off at Neptune Island Waterpark in Hartsville. This tropical oasis overflows with mild-to-wild slides, a float-along lazy river, towering drops for daring big kids (and adults) and gentle splash zones for the little ones. For indoor (read: air-conditioned) fun, jump into action at Sky Zone Trampoline Park in Florence. Wall-to-wall trampolines, foam pits and obstacle courses keep kids entertained for hours, rain or shine. It all makes for family fun that lingers long after the vacation ends.
