After a year like 2020, our destination began to see a glimmer of hope as dozens of new restaurants opened in early 2021. @frame2table Little Saint brought approachable, casual plant-based fare to their 10,000 sq. ft. space at SingleThread. The 24-acre Little Saint Farm supplies fresh produce for the meatless menu. After realizing SBA loans weren’t available to them, Chef Stephane Saint Louis and Chef Steven Vargas invested their stimulus checks into Tesla. Their investment earned them roughly $15,000 which they used to open Table Culture Provisions. Table Culture Provisions is a Haitian and French inspired restaurant that prides itself on using products made by local farmers, bakers and ranchers. Chef Luis Flores and his family opened Tortilla Real in Petaluma. Flores sources his flavors and dishes from his ancestors’ recipes that originated in Guadalajara, Jalisco. PizzaLeah, located in Windsor, focuses on using local ingredients, beer and wine. Co-owner Leah Scurto has traveled across the globe winning multiple pizza competitions while her co-owner Clarence Wainer is both a farmer and an artisanal blacksmith. They’re also known for giving back to the community as often as they can.
