4 INTERNATIONAL PEACE GARDEN

The 2,399-acre botanical garden on the North Dakota/Canada border honors the peace between our two nations. Camping, hiking, dining, special events and attractions, including the 9/11 Memorial, Peace Chapel and “Hands of Peace” sculpture make this a photogenic vacation spot.

5 WHITE HORSE HILL NATIONAL GAME PRESERVE

Established as a national park by Theodore Roosevelt, the Game Preserve was instrumental in revitalizing the populations of American bison and elk. Miles of nature and auto trails along North Dakota’s largest natural lake (Devils Lake) offer serene overlooks, 250 species of birds and blooming prairie flowers.
