STURGIS® MOTORCYCLE RALLY™ The 79th annual Sturgis® Motorcycle Rally™ is set for Aug. 2 to 11, 2019. The American motorcycle rally began in 1938 and was initially held for stunts and races. It has evolved into a gathering of motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world. It is one of the largest motorcycle rallies on the planet, regularly bringing more than 500,000 motorcyclists to the region each year. The town of Sturgis and the surrounding area bustles with campers, bikers, onlookers and everything in between. The rally draws vendors and food trucks from around the country to downtown Sturgis. The entire region hosts tons of concerts and special events all throughout rally week, as well as pre- and post-rally events.
