BROWSING alfresco

There’s nothing like spending a gorgeous day (or evening) weaving through a sea of tents for treasures.

St. Pete-Clearwater is known for its outdoor markets, from artsy indie flea markets and foodie festivals to festive evening markets. Whether you’re shopping, snacking or just hanging with your friends, there’s fun to be had!

BEACH MARKETS

ART MART: From January through April, Pass-a-Grille Beach hosts this open-air art market featuring handmade pottery, jewelry, wind chimes and more.

INDIAN SHORES SUNDAY

MORNING MARKET: This beachfront Sunday market offers rotating vendors selling hydroponic produce, local honey, baked goods, cheeses and artisan treats.

WEEKEND MARKETS

SATURDAY MORNING MARKET: A longtime St. Pete favorite with handmade crafts, food trucks, fresh produce, local vendors — and many cute dogs.

COREY AVENUE SUNDAY MARKET: During this laid-back Sunday market on St. Pete Beach, many local galleries and boutiques remain open so you can maximize your shopping. Getting there: Take the SunRunner bus, which runs from downtown St. Pete to the beaches.

THE MARKET MARIE: Held the second Saturday of each month at Coachman Park, with over 130 vendors, live music, and family activities. Stroll the waterfront or catch a concert at The BayCare Sound.

VINTAGE MARCHÉ: This dog-friendly market takes place the first weekend of each month, featuring vintage vinyl, clothing and retro treasures from 40+ vendors.

NIGHT MARKETS

GULFPORT NIGHT MARKET: Held the first Friday and third Saturday of each month in downtown Gulfport, with handmade art, crafts, jewelry, clothing and specialty foods.

MAKERS & SHAKERS MARKET: On the second Thursday of each month from 5-9 p.m., St. Petersburg Distillery hosts local vendors, food and signature cocktails and mocktails.

NIGHT MARKET ON MAIN: Saturdays, 6-9 p.m. in downtown Safety Harbor, featuring local vendors, crafts, artisanal breads and a festive atmosphere.

SUNSETS AT PIER 60: Nightly (weather permitting) from two hours before to two hours after sunset, with live entertainment, artisans, crafts and waterfront views in Clearwater.

ARTSY MARKETS

MEZZO MARKET: Held monthly October through May on Baum Avenue in downtown St. Pete, with over 140 booths featuring plants, jewelry, vintage clothing and more. Stop by nearby Green Bench Brewing Company for a St. Pete-themed craft beer.

INDIE FLEA: This themed market features rotating vendors selling art, plants, apparel, gifts and cheeky Florida souvenirs.

FIRST FRIDAY ART MARKET: Not only are the ceramic pieces here stunning — the proceeds also support St. Pete’s Creative Clay, a nonprofit for artists with disabilities. Check out the unique ceramics and home decor made by Creative Clay artists.

FOODIE MARKETS

GULFPORT TUESDAY FRESH MARKET: Hosted in the fun and funky artist’s community of Gulfport, this browseworthy market offers cheeses, sweet treats, relaxing bath products and more.

PINELLAS FARMERS & FLEA MARKET: Open Saturdays and Sundays, 7 a.m.-1 p.m. at Win! Derby on Gandy Boulevard, with hard-to-find tropical fruit, fresh produce, Asian food vendors and over 200 flea market booths.
