BONSAI Bonsai is a local favorite for Japanese and Chinese cuisine. From a variety of fresh sushi and tempura to generous portions of lo mein, you can’t go wrong with a meal at this Rock Springs staple. 1996 Dewar Dr., Rock Springs Great Food! The Best! This is #1 in Rock Springs for a reason— all the food is delish. Sushi, Japanese & Chinese were equally good. Udon noodles TO DIE FOR. Tempura veggies are perfection. Two thumbs WAY up. Date of visit: July 2021 Take-out Is Divine We arrived to town late and ordered take out from Bonsai—sushi and tempura. Wow. These guys know what they are doing! Great flavor and well packaged for unpacking and eating in our hotel. Date of visit: September 2020 REMEDIES GRILL Remedies Grill is a favorite lunch spot for many. In addition to delicious food they also have a little store full of local Wyoming souvenirs, making it the perfect stop for visitors. Try the Remedy Burger and you won’t be disappointed! 409 Broadway St., Rock Springs Yummy The food here is consistently good, super fresh and the hot fries are amazing! And, of course the remedy burger is to die for. The tuna and grilled cheese sandwiches, and the cob salads are never disappointing. Date of visit: February 2019 Hometown Location for Lunch This is a quaint, friendly, nostalgic kind of place for lunch. Not only do they serve some of the best burgers in the state, their store is full of Wyoming souvenir items. Friendly help and atmosphere like an old soda shop. One of the best places in Rock Springs. Date of visit: April 2019 CHILL GRILL The Chill Grill has delicious food and a fun atmosphere. The hot dogs served here aren’t just any hot dog, they are loaded with delicious toppings ranging from cheese to chili. Try the Hawaiian! 1525 Elk St., Rock Springs Outside doesn’t match inside! Don’t judge the book by its cover! The Chill Grill looks a little run down on the outside but on the inside it’s as cute as it can be! I would have driven past it except for the Tripadvisor reviews. The food was down-home delicious! An extensive burger, hot dog and homestyle menu. And the ice cream concoctions... wow! Glad I made the stop! Date of visit: January 2020 Perfect!!! What a delightful chance stop! Delicious food, great atmosphere, amazing menu and ice cream/ soda fountain. Just south of I-80 on Hwy 191 – do yourself a favor and stop here. Thanks, Miss Peggy! Date of visit: July 2021 BOMBER’S SPORTS BAR Discover fast and friendly service, delicious comfort foods and a fun atmosphere when you dine at Bomber’s Sports Bar. Stop in for lunch and catch a game while you’re at it. The French Dip is a must-try! 1549 Elk St., Rock Springs Nice find Been through Rock Springs many, many times through the years. Noticed but never tried this place. Finally did this past weekend and was happy I did. Great food and great service. I’ll stop again! Date of visit: October 2020 Wow, Still Way Good The meal here was as good or better than those enjoyed on our recent road trip to UT, NV, CA and ID. Pleasant and clean, on the Marty’s side, the place was inviting and cool. We did receive excellent service, and the turkey bacon avocado melt sandwich was superb, along with the battered French fries. Crinkle fries are also available. Very good prices, and overall, 4.5 on the Tripadvisor scale. Recommended. Date of visit: June 2017 DON PEDRO’S FAMILY MEXICAN Don Pedro’s is a favorite restaurant of many Rock Springs and Green River natives. Try a local favorite dish, Molcajete, perfect for a cold day! 520 Wilkes Dr., Green River Wonderful flavor Shared the Parrillada plate with my husband and the flavors of the meat and the peppers were all wonderful. Good service, food quickly! Fun decor. Date of visit: September 2020 A Great Experience We stayed one night in Green River and had dinner at Don Pedro’s. My husband and I both got combination plates to include enchiladas, tacos, and tamales. The food was excellent! We had our dog with us so we ordered the food to go and enjoyed watching the deer run through the neighborhood while we waited for our food. I would highly recommend Don Pedro’s. It was a good experience. Date of visit: August 2020 CHINA GARDEN If you’re craving Chinese food, China Garden is the place to go! They serve delicious, fresh food, and their egg drop soup is to die for. 190 N. Fifth E. St., Green River Best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten We were staying at the Little Bear Motel and didn’t feel like driving anymore so we ordered from China Garden. The motel owner had recommended it. The food was absolutely fabulous. It had the best egg drop soup not to mention all the other dishes we had. The fried rice was also super. They also gave enough food to feed an army which is great because it tasted spectacular. Date of visit: May 2019 Best egg drop soup anywhere! If you have not tried it, you must. They make the best egg drop soup I have found. I have tried other places (NJ, CA, AZ, CO for example) and NO comparison AT ALL! Rest of the food really good also. Date of visit: September 2018
