Work will begin this year on a 12,000-square-foot pavilion designed by wHY Architecture. AT&T Park and San Jose’s Avaya Stadium will host the world’s top men’s and women’s rugby sevens players in July 2018. Competition dates precede the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. An elevated highway that cut through the Presidio for seven decades has been replaced with an at-grade roadway which will be hidden by tunnels. The Golden State Warriors plan to build a new, state-of-the-art arena in Mission Bay, which will provide a new venue to be used for conventions, concerts and cultural events.
