Top Stops

Sioux Falls

Stretch out on the paved trails surrounding the Big Sioux River at Falls Park, or head up to the observation tower for a fantastic view of the falls. Traveling with kiddos? The Butterfly House & Aquarium on the south side of town is a must-visit.

Porter Sculpture Park

Step into this eccentric sculpture garden by local artist Wayne Porter, whose wonderfully wacky pieces range from an enormous bull’s head to spiders and sunflowers. Open May–October.

The World’s Only Corn Palace

Prepare to be a-maize-d by South Dakota’s corniest attraction. Snap a pic alongside Cornelius, a 6-foottall ear of corn, and marvel at the Moorish-style building laden with corn-y murals.

Al’s Oasis

Fuel up for your journey by indulging in bison burgers and homemade pies at Al’s Oasis, a beloved stop you’ll recognize by the gigantic buffalo statue out front.

Pioneer Auto Show

Car enthusiasts shouldn’t miss this museum boasting an incredible collection of antique vehicles dating as early as 1903.

1880 Town

Go back in time as you wander this Old West village, complete with a saloon, church, stables and train depot.

Wall Drug Store

Wall’s wonderland of novelties includes shops, restaurants and kid-friendly activities. Pro tip: Hop on the giant jackalope for the ultimate photo op.
