THE VINOY RESORT & GOLF CLUB
Celebrating its 100th anniversary, The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club first opened on New Year’s Eve in 1925, ushering in a new era of glamour along St. Pete’s waterfront. The iconic salmon-colored landmark has hosted a long list of notable guests, from Babe Ruth and Marilyn Monroe to U.S. presidents and modern-day stars like Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the property nearly faded from prominence after closing in the 1970s, but a $93 million restoration brought it back to life in 1992. Today, it honors its storied past through docent-led historical tours while offering newly renovated accommodations, wellness experiences, acclaimed dining and amenities from its signature golf club.
FENWAY HOTEL
Conveniently located on the banks of St. Joseph Sound and just a 15-minute walk from downtown Dunedin, the Fenway Hotel has it all. Not only is it a popular date night destination for locals hungry for one of the best steaks in Tampa Bay, or thirsty for craft cocktails from the rooftop bar, it’s also unique and charming. Opened in 1927, the Fenway celebrates its history with an exclusive speakeasy called Room 27, while leaning into chef-forward dining experiences. BELLEVIEW INN
Belleview Inn traces its roots to 1897, when it was built from heart pine wood sourced from Henry Plant’s Georgia estate overlooking Clearwater Bay. The historic property has been thoughtfully renovated over time, most recently in 2018, while preserving original details like wooden trusses, stained glass and reclaimed brick. Its signature green roof was also restored to its legendary look. Today, the inn blends historic charm with modern comfort, featuring a resort-style pool, renovated rooms and suites, access to a semiprivate beach at nearby Sandpearl Resort, and privileges at the Belleair Country Club’s two 18-hole golf courses.
DON CESAR HOTEL
The Don CeSar Hotel, a beachfront mainstay, is iconic around town, dubbed the Pink Palace for its unmistakable pastel façade along Gulf Boulevard. Inside, opulence reigns supreme, with architecture referencing its 1920s opening, fine dining and two charming pools that look out onto the beach. You don’t need to be staying here to enjoy some of the amenities. Book a visit to Spa Oceana and get a pass to use the Don’s private beach access, plus their sauna and hot tub. Grab a drink at the sophisticated lobby bar, or indulge at the recently renovated Maritana restaurant.
