While in the Lower Ninth Ward, visit the Lower Ninth Ward Living Museum, which documents the history of the neighborhood. It’s located inside the Tate, Etienne & Prevost Interpretive Center, which provides an inside look at the history of the New Orleans Civil Rights Movement through tours of the school building Leona Tate, Gail Etienne, and the late Tessie Prevost desegregated as six-year-old girls in 1960.
