Rising 1,267 feet above the picturesque Belle Fourche River Valley, Devils Tower National Monument is a stunning geological oddity of epic proportions. Also known as Bear Lodge, the tower is sacred to many Native American tribes. Enjoy the monument on the ground, or by climbing with a special permit in accordance with National Park Service regulations. Please note: there is a voluntary climbing closure in June out of respect for Native American cultural activities.
