Over the past year, DC’s dining scene has accrued its share of accolades, including recognition from Bon Appétit and Zagat. Now the city has its first Michelin Guide. Read on for 10 restaurants honored in the prestigious guide.
5 BIB GOURMAND RESTAURANTS
China Chilcano serves up delicious Peruvian fare with influences from Chinese Chifa and Japanese Nikkei cuisine. Relish José Andrés’ creative mash-up and wash it down with a pisco from the extensive cocktail list.
Ottoman Taverna in Mount Vernon Triangle highlights the wonders of Turkish cuisine, as Chef Hakan Ilhan pays homage to his native country with incredible kebabs and flatbreads that emerge from a wood-burning oven.
Oyamel, José Andrés’ take on Mexican food, features innovative taco creations, a colorful selection of margaritas and irresistible guacamole – best eaten José-style with corn tortillas.

Zaytinya is another treasure from José Andrés, where the chef blends Greek, Lebanese and Turkish cuisine into small plate heaven. The mezze menu makes this an ideal spot to bring a group.

Kinship serves modern American cuisine that has been dazzling patrons since acclaimed Chef Eric Ziebold opened the restaurant’s doors in December 2015.
