As Illinois’ largest independent craft brewery, it has its brewing facility off-site but offers one-offs and brand-new launches to patrons at this brewpub location. Great brunch, too. Hopewell Brewing Co. has that newly minted glow— and great beers, too. It was started by three college pals, which translates to a friendly atmosphere and refreshing drinks such as the Farm and Family Saison, which is almost champagne-like. like the Bare Bear, a Finnish-style sahti. Off Color Brewing also offers Tooth & Claw, a pilsner developed for The Field Museum in honor of SUE, the T. rex.
