GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, ARIZONA PROPERTY EST. 1905 • NATIONAL HISTORIC LANDMARK Opening its doors in 1905, El Tovar Hotel, a former Harvey House, is considered the premier lodging facility at the Grand Canyon. Constructed of native stone and Oregon pine, this historic hotel was built as a destination resort and provides an air of venerable dignity. Its location is just steps from the rim of the canyon and is one of only a handful of Harvey House facilities still in operation. The hotel features the canyon’s premier dining facility, El Tovar Dining Room, and an elegant gift shop with unique gifts and apparel. DINING The El Tovar Dining Room and Lounge were built perpendicular to the rim and feature traditional décor and ambiance. Open year-round, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, El Tovar Dining Room can accommodate up to 211 guests; the lounge can accommodate up to 60 guests. Outdoor seating is available on the veranda, which serves drinks and appetizers. The menu offers regional and classical flavors while utilizing contemporary techniques. LOCATION In Grand Canyon Village (South Rim), 60 miles north of Interstate 40 at Williams, and 80 miles northwest of Flagstaff.
