SGT. ALVIN C. YORK STATE HISTORIC PARK In Pall Mall, tour the two-story home and historic farm of one of the most decorated soldiers of World War I. This site also includes a visitor center, grist mill and a reproduction of a World War I trench. JOHNSONVILLE STATE PARK Once the location of a Union supply depot and the site of the Battle of Johnsonville, this 2,000-acre park honors its Civil War heritage with reenactments and special events. AMERICAN QUEEN STEAMBOAT COMPANY Cruise along the mighty Mississippi River from Memphis aboard the elegant American Queen steamboat, decorated with opulent Victorian furnishings and antiques. RIPPAVILLA PLANTATION Listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, this stately Southern mansion in Spring Hill was completed in 1855 and offers daily guided tours for a glimpse into the past. HERITAGE DAYS This annual event at Historic Mansker’s Station in Goodlettsville features activities for the whole family. Interact with the interpreters and gardeners, tour the Bowen House, feed farm animals and watch more than 20 demonstrators conducting hands-on activities, from pottery to basketweaving.
