Boardwalks With refreshing sea air, amusement rides and sweet treats, boardwalks are easy to love. Virginia Beach’s boardwalk celebrates the ocean with a statue of Neptune, crab shacks and nautical-themed shops. Ocean City’s promenade includes a 1902 carousel and a museum devoted to shipwrecks.
